Swimming Instructor & Cover Lifeguard
Georgia May
Hi, I’m Georgia and I have always loved swimming from a young age. I had lessons when I was little and later joined a club and began swimming competitively. I still train with my uni to this day. My love for being in the water was what inspired me to begin teaching others how to swim. Therefore, when I turned 16 I got my Level 1 Swim Teaching and have been working for various independent swim schools since. The majority of my experience is teaching young children whom are both weak and non-swimmers.
More recently I qualified as a Lifeguard making me more aware of the safety regarding a pool environment and how to administer effective first aid.

I love swimming! After growing up swimming almost every day, it has played a huge role in my life and I am delighted that I can spread my passion through swimming teaching.
Lifeguard & Lifeguard Trainer Assessor
Elli Totterdell
My name is Elli and I’m 21 years old. I've been swimming since I was 3 years old and I've always had a love for it. I became a lifeguard just over a year ago now; I quickly developed a passion for it in wanting to keep people safe. That’s why I was asked to become a TA. My job as a TA is to teach staff training, to make sure lifeguarding standards are as they should be, and to run NPLQ courses for anyone who wants to become a lifeguard.
Swimming Instructor
Cerys Jones
Hi, my name is Cerys! I began swimming at a very young age, and eventually ended up swimming competitively for many years! Alongside swimming I’m also a competitive gymnast and have always loved teaching others. I completed my level 1 when I was 17 and have recently passed my level 2 qualification. As well as this, I graduated uni last year with a degree in Sports Coaching and love helping others progress and learn!
Lifeguard

Hi, My name is Matthew. I am a currently studying for A levels at Cardiff High School in PE, Geography, Sociology and Welsh Bacc.
My swimming career started when I was 5 years old which led me into having trials for Cardiff. I have always loved the pool environment and I have recently qualified as a lifeguard. My other passion is playing rugby, which I have represented Cardiff schools. I look forward to developing my skills further being a lifeguard.
Swimming Instructor
Maia Banks
Hi! I’m Maia and I absolutely love swimming! I’m American and used to hot summers so I especially love swimming outdoors, in lakes and rivers, and the sea! I am new to swimming teaching, but have worked with children for many years and run my own toy library in Cardiff as well. I was inspired to become a swimming teacher as I watched my own two kids learning, and I’m really excited to share my love of swimming with others!
Swimming Instructor
Lauren Newman
Hi I’m Lauren, I have been swimming since before I could walk and I have loved it ever since. My passion for fitness and swimming is what made me decide to go into teaching. I have only recently gained my Level 1 and I am so excited to pass on my enthusiasm to those individuals learning to swim! Alongside swimming, I am a runner and I am currently training for a half marathon.
Swimming Instructor
Danny Berkley
Hiya, I’m Danny! I have loved being in the water ever since I was a baby, and that is still the case! I was a lifeguard for 8 years, and decided that I wanted to get into teaching swimming. This has been a great move for me, and I can’t wait to continue to inspire the next generation to love the water as much as I do!
